The SIT token will provide the “proof of concept” and foundation for substantial growth – both in the physical asset base and also the complexity and sophistication of the use of blockchain technology. 

Once the underlying algae biomass plant is operational and generating returns, the patented underlying technology will have been proven to work and therefore can be replicated and scaled up.  SIT can then invest in more projects, in varying geographies, to deliver on the promise of becoming a leading independent supplier of algae biomass into the growing underlying market.

Moreover, the algae biomass plants are a fantastic way to reduce and / or offset carbon emissions, particularly when delivered utilising the unique SIT structure.  SIT will quantify its reduction levels and generate carbon credits which will be tokenised and issued as digital assets called “Algaecoin”. 

Algaecoin will be another asset-backed token, this time collateralised through the value of the underlying carbon credits, and therefore will also have a verifiable basis for valuation.  Algaecoin will therefore be the world’s first asset-backed, green cryptoasset which will be liquid and transparent.
